England cricket team will not come on Indian tour, tour due to covid-19 postponed till next year

International cricket has started after Corona virus infection, but Indian cricket will have to wait for its return to the field.  Due to this epidemic, Team India's series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe has been postponed and now its sword is hanging on the limited overs series against England.  England are scheduled to visit India in September-October this year for a limited-overs series that could be postponed due to the current circumstances.

India was scheduled to play their first home series of the 2020-21 season against England in September-October.  There are three ODIs and three T20 matches to be played in this series, but now it may have to be postponed.  Earlier, the BCCI has also postponed the series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

A BCCI official said, "There is no doubt about the postponement of England's visit to India."  There is no option to hold this series under these circumstances.  We will organize it later.  Now the Indian team will not be seen playing any series in their home before 2021.  However, the BCCI can make an official announcement about this series on June 17, where the schedule of this series will be discussed in the meeting of the apex council.

The England cricket team was scheduled to come on an Indian tour this year where they had to play three ODIs and the same number of T20 series with Team India.  Now in view of the Covid 19 epidemic and due to the conduct of IPL at this place, the program of England's arrival here has been postponed.  The Cricket Board of India has made it clear that the tour is postponed until next year.

It has been said by the BCCI that now an effort will be made with the England Cricket Board to prepare a program in which the England team can visit India from January to late March in the year 2021.  At the same time, the Indian team also has to tour England in the year 2021 where they have to play a series of Test matches.

Regarding England not visiting India, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has said that BCCI and ECB are now in the process of making a new schedule for it.  Everyone's eyes are on the series between these two countries.  The cricket series between England and India is very exciting and difficult.  In such a situation, everyone's eyes will be on this series.

Although the BCCI has not been talked to the England and Wales Cricket Board regarding this series yet, but it is expected that the series will be held in January-February.  England is scheduled to come to India for a five-Test series in January next year and the ODI and T20 series can also be done simultaneously.  If this happens, 16 matches will be played between India and England between the period from January to August.  In January-February, India will have 5 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches between these two teams.  The Indian team will then tour England for 5 Tests in July-August.

Let us tell you that the number of people getting infected with Covid 19 in India is constantly increasing.  More than 20 lakh people have been infected here and its number is increasing.  Due to this, many cricket series of India were postponed and now the cricket series against England has also been included in it.  This time, considering the status of covid 19 in India, it has been decided to organize IPL 2020 in UAE and it will start in UAE from 19 September.
